This is the Bow Plus website. Not finished yet, but it does give contact details.

The last time I popped in, they had some second hand Border limbs, and a very nice set of 40# TXG's (new).

sid*NOSPAM*@borderbows.com

This is Sid's email address (Border), and he is a fantastic bloke. He will happily talk to you about your needs and will even make them to your specifications (i'm awaiting my medium 46# limbs as we speak), but that does take longer.

Kae.

Border limbs would be my prime choice of limb if I wanted to progress in the sport, not the cheapest high performance limb, but you get a top limb and a bottom limb made to exacting specifications by craftsmen with pride in their work. Hoyt, W&W limbs are picked out of a bucket and the transfers put on them determine which limb is which, and they are made by machine operators who most likely get bonus for how many they can make an hour.

not to worried about the splash of cash (well i am a bit) but will do it anyway, have been told to get a set of border carbon limbs, and some ace's
never shot or seen a set of borders, but trust my coach. was wonering what they are like and do they stack up to winex? oh the new borders would be 70 inch 36/or 38lb.
like i said you cant go wrong with boarder

I especially love the Helix/Border combination. Works fantastically, and even at 42#, my bow was the quietest on the shooting line

Now, I can't wait until my new pair arrive

My mate's Hoyt Gold Medallist has limbs marked as "Hoyt" that were, in fact, made by Border. Hmmm! I don't know if that is still the case though.

Is there anything on the limbs saying or referring to Border, Know they will re-finish a set of other manufacturers limbs.

While I'm prepared to admit that Border may make some good limbs - they also make some real duds. Makes sure you shoot them before you pay for them - and/or have an "if you're not happy we'll do something about it". Mind you I'd say that about everything these days.

I had a pair of Borders (all be it rather old Xp10 Evos) that were absolutely rubbish. Straight but slow, inconsistent and untuneable. Shooting well at 90m would bring tears to your eyes.

I binned them for my old Carbon Plus limbs and put 40 points on my best FITA that year, untuned in worse weather. (1161 -1207)

I was holding my tongue until I got to the:

"We all love Border"

&

"You can't go wrong with Border"

Posts

Most expensive archery mistake I've made as they were something like £470 as I recall. Once bitten twice shy - and unlikely to change my opinion until someone shoots a 1400 with them or someone else puts a good set in my hands for long term trial

My money would be on Winex/Innos, Samicks or G3s. And yes G3s aren't that quick but they are very stable

Stretch
