border limbs..

coach has advised me to upgade my limbs once intervarsity season is over.
this will entail a large expendiure of cash as i will also have to change my arrows. at the moment i shoot with winex 70inch 32lb, and shoot acc arrows wich are 30inch through the clicker i have just over 30 of these one set for practice another for competition and a few spare.
not to worried about the splash of cash (well i am a bit) but will do it anyway, have been told to get a set of border carbon limbs, and some ace's
never shot or seen a set of borders, but trust my coach. was wonering what they are like and do they stack up to winex? oh the new borders would be 70 inch 36/or 38lb.

BORDERS

ARE

THE

BEST

LIMBS

EVER!!!!!

hrmm, sorry.
They don't stack (ask JohnK), are faster than Hoyt G3's (TXB's are 8fps faster than G3's, the TXG's are even faster).
They have fantastic torsional stability (try twisting the limb by hand when the bow is strung).

And you've got the fantastic support of Sid at Border, which is worth its weight in gold!

Kae.

If you do go with Border limbs, because they are so much faster than other limbs, make sure you talk to an experience person about matching arrows, or you'll end up with weak ones!

I can only recommend staying with Winex as they seem to work really well with Helix risers. However never shot boarders. Very few dealers round my way stock em so its difficult for me to try them. I would say try the Boarders and if you prefer them to Winex go for em but I would not recommend G3's. this is however my own personal opinion.

never tried borders but have 2 sets of winex 36# and 40#.....IMHO they are the best limbs in the market today...stick with them on the heavier wt and u can always use the lighter limbs for indoor....

Have a look in the Aardvark website. They had a set of 2nd hand Border limbs a few days ago when I was in.

Borders

Bought mine from Bowplus who were very helpful. They usually have a good stock in or you can get them direct from Border. (They also have a list of 2nd hand ones which are really good value)

Who carries 2nd hand ones? Bowplus or Border?

Actually, I've tried to find Bowplus on the internet and haven't managed to, yet. If anyone has a website or contact info could you please PM me?

W&W copy Border designs (without permission). So, either buy the copies or the originals. Whatever floats your boat.
