Stabilisers....

I will be looking to get my self a long rod initally, probably v-bar/short rods eventally, but what are folks general opinions between single rod, multi-rod, carbon or Cardon/Ali.

Thanks

Single Rod Doinker Setup.

A perfect match for my Helix/Border setup.

That means nothing for you as its very individual, but thats my personal preference.

Kae.

Which is as it should be. What suits A might not suit B, even with the same setup. Borrow, try, then borrow some more and try.

Though Littlest says her new multi-rod is much smoother than her previos carbon single

I got a solid rod to start with but unfortunately It had the side area of a bus, so bad in the wind. I have jusy bought a four rod cabon from Clickers Archery and I am very impessed. Its cheaper than Beiter and uses thinner carbon tubes and for me it works a treat.

IMO, Single rods are better for Recurve, Multi rod's more appropiate for compounders, because of the difference in holding weight and shot frequency.

Just my opinion though,

Kae.

Personally I found that swapping from a straight all-carbon long rod to a beiter rod made a big change in the vibration damping.

I can't cope with the weight of the Beiter, but my husband wouldn't swap that for my lightweight SF, on the recurve, but he prefers the SF on the compound, so as always, try a few out! But that's also with length as well because where the weight sits will make a difference too.
