Thread Size

I am now an owner of a crimson red matrix, but screws from the sight block from my old bow (KG 1) are too small

Anyone else think this kinda info should be in the Manual? Which wasnt included in the box so had to downlad it from Hoyt.

Could someone enlighten me as the sight block thread on the matrix is please.

thanks

Dave.

PS have spent nearly 3 hours searching on here but couldnt find the answer.

All modern bows have adopted 3/16"UNC as the thread size for sight blocks

Interesting, I phoned the shop after posting the question... they told me 10-24 UNC.

3/16 unc and 10-24 unc are two ways of describing the same thing.

All the unc threads under ¼” are normally described as number- number (of threads per inch), 1/4” and over are thread diameter (i.e. 3/8”) unc. So both the answers you got are correct it’s just the way the screw threads are described on each side of the pond.

Hope thats of some use.

Best Wishes, Mark Huff

Angry Thread size

Hi
I've just returned to archery after a 12 year absence from the sport, i wanted to replace my old 40lb Yamaha limbs with lighter ones but found they are no longer available.
So i bit the bullet and orderd a new Hoyt!
It arrived yesterday and with the opportunity to shoot that eavening at my local club and with only an hour to spare, i very excitedly set forth transfering Rest, Sight and button to the new bow.
Guess what? No threads matched and no info on thread spec with the bow!!?
What a briliant way to have people ruin a new bow buy using the wrong screws and potentially invalidate the waranty!
Well done on find a spec on the Hoyt web site, iv'e just failed but instead found this forum.
I am now going through three draw fulls of assorted Machine Screws and Bolts in the hope that i find some that fit.
The button is another story, guess i'll have to buy a new one.
All the best.
Rupert.

Similar situation to myself..returning after 12 years... been back 9 months now...

All Yamaha fitting are/were Metric if I remember correctly.

I did manage to get my screws though.....got them for no charge from Quicks.....when I bought some new arrows yesterday...

Dave.

Smile Thread size thread

Thanks Dave
If my search here fails i'll give Quicks a call as i bought the bow from them.
I do think that Hoyt should provide full specs, especially considering the price we pay for their equipment.
I hope you are enjoying your return to archery as much as i enjoyed my first night back.
All the best
Rupert

Hi

Your stabiliser and button threads are 5/16ths
Your clicker thread is 6/32 and if you buy Beiter go for the 6/32A.
Most stabiliser weights are 1/4"unf except the Striker Pro which is 5/16ths.

Cheers and welcome back
