| Joe I had a similar situation with a Cartel button where the locking screw didn't. The source of the problem was bad cleaning up after thread cutting during manufacture. This means that although the locking screw is tightening, it is tightening on swarf rather than the thread it's supposed to lock. Try taking the sight apart so that the locking screw can be run right through to way beyond its normal position. For the left right adjustment that will mean unscrewing the ring and removing it. For the up down adjustment I think that just taking the slider off the track will enable you to do that. After you have run the locking screw through the hole, take it out and fiddle gently around the far end of the hole to remove any loose metal that has been pushed through. It might not cure the problem but it will only take a few minutes and won't damage the sight. |
