turning the bush within the riser! Firstly, anyone else had experience of this? Not unknown...... Is your riser under g'tee? if so get it back to 'em if not I would try a local engineering w/shop to see what can be done.

| If the bush is turning freely then it will need to be carefully removed ie taken out square to the hole , cleaned up and degreased use some Bearing fit loctite and refit the bush. If it is just turning under the pressure of the long rod being turned then a Loctite 641 may penetrate, use sparingly and rotate the bush to try and ensure penetration of the fluid into the joint, wipe off the excess and leave to cure for 24 hrs. I dont think superglue will give the penetration to bond it permanantly? Good luck |

| I've seen it happen with a generic wooden riser (Whole bushing came out, was a nightmare to fix), and a KAP Winstar. Not sure what's happening on the winstar, will post when I know.

| Whats the condition of the nylon washer? if its goosed then it will be unable to take any compression allowing the torque to go through to the bush maybe worth checking these out as well |

| Washer is almost new, and doesn't appear worn or damaged. Movement isn't exactly loose (yet!), it's only apparent when trying to tighten the rod to prevent the movement that I assumed was the rod itself, but now looks as though it may have been the bush all along. I'll give the loctite 641 approach a try, assuming I can find some. Thanks for the replies Terry

| Have a look in yellow pages for local bearing supply companies - they generally stock engineering adhesives. Failing that http://www.fwb.co.uk sell it online

| I seem to remember Halfords or other auto supplies may carry it? Andy is right though, check out Edmond Walker in Taunton if your near there it maybe your best bet. |

| Another place to try would be model shops. The type that sell radio controlled planes and cars - that sort of thing. If you have one near you, they're bound to sell something that would do the job
