I use Stringflex Fastlight bowstrings. I have changed from the 18 strand to the 16 strand strings. I had been told that there would be about a 1 fps advantage in the 16 strand string. I had wanted to know what the increase in height would be. On Sunday in a National shoot my first shot at 60 yards went way over the top of the boss. After adjusting the sight, 60 yards now uses the old 18 strand 50 yard sight mark. The 50 yard sight mark is using the old 18 strand 40 yard mark. A bit of difference. Indoors I shoot the 18 strand string so I do not have to dismantle the vertical sight bar, as I cannot hit what I aim at at 18 to 25m.

Seems a little excessive unless you've also changed the bracing height or the nocking point has moved.

Agreed. 1fps is NOT that much of a change.

Check nocking point/tiller/bracing height and look again. It could also be nock fit - looser nocks will cause the arrow to leave the string more willingly and thus faster...
