| Sorry to hear you've been unwell, Tracy. Have you considered dropping your poundage while you rebuild your strength? I found stetchy bands really helped rebuild my shoulder strength last summer after an injury. And you can work your way through the colours (different resistances) as you get stronger.

| Sorry to hear of your recent problems Tracy, but everything is comeing through loud and clear, you make as much sense as the rest of us (make of that what you will, lol). The only thing I can really suggest is the blue exercise bands. Low weight, and you vary how much effort you put in by holding the band in different lengths. Hope you feeling better soon, Kae. |

| I'm sorry to hear you've had such a tough time, but its great you want to continue with archery. First things first you should get medical advice about continuing archery in the short term. If your GP gives the ok then you might want to consider getting much lighter limbs (or making the switch to a light compound). I'm sure the others on here will have further advice. Take it easy though. |

| Hi there Tracy - I wondered what had happened to you! Really sorry to hear about your problems; I hope you're on the mend. I think one thing that's very important at a time like this is to have a goal to work towards, and it sounds as if you've got that sorted already with your focus on a return to archery. Just take it easy and don't try to do too much too soon. The stretchy bands are a good idea, and once you find your bow and remind yourself of the poundage you might be able to borrow a club bow with significantly less weight so that you can practice your form. Good luck, do what the doctor says, and let us know how you are getting on. We're all rooting for you.

| Really sad to hear you have been having a bad time of it. I hope you can find a way to get yourself through in a positive frame of mind (for you and your family). As everyone else seems to have said.. take advice from the doctors, and then go out and kick some "butts". Hugs from the whale. |

| Glad to hear you getting better, I dislocated my left shoulder kayaking and had to rebuild muscle and strength in my bow arm. I was shooting a 34 lb recurve and used a Powerball and stretchy bands and a 2 litre coke bottle full of sand as a weight to do reps with. Took around 2 months until i could shoot fine again with my 34lb recurve. Try whats best for you but dont over do it, Try talking to a doctor or a trainer at a gym or a physio for some proffessional advice if your still unsure.

| Hi Tracy Sometimes with a stroke, it's not strength, per se, but the ability for the brain to control the muscles, therefore it may be more difficult for you, but don't give up hope, it's not unknown for the brain to "re-wire" in amazing ways when some of it has been damaged. Have a word with your physio who should be able to advise safe methods of training. Take care and the best of luck with it
