I have tried that for a whole summer with an old bow (wooden limbs) and with a very modern set of limbs and have never seen any change. The reason for the first one was that it was a takedown but awfully long to install. In the second case, it was to make the test.

I should like to add : Why are the compound bows always strung?
Duss, I like my limbs, they are performing very well and to extend the longevity and performance of them I will not take the slightest chance of compromising there performance, 1, have seen the effects on a pair of border limbs that were left strung over night at a double York resulted in a severe twist, the owner was 3rd on day one and fell away rapidly on day 2 as a result. 2, a lady shooter in our county left her bow strung and though she suffered no limb twist, she did seem to replace her limbs a lot. Go figure

OUCH! Are you really saying that the Border limbs are THAT fragile! Thank you for the warning!

Seriously, if those limbs twisted, there was something wrong in them. Unless they are left under the sun at midday or close to a heat source...

Moreover, if that happens overnight I would not trust them to shoot a day-long FITA 1440. Please note that leaving a bow strung subjects it to a much lesser amount of efforts than shooting it.
