| One piece of advice, make sure that you can see your point of aim, over the end of the rod, at your furthest distance. Then pick any length that feels comfortable up to that limit. Mick

| Good point MM - that is exactly how I had to pick mine as I couldn't see the target at 80 yards!! Also, don't be fooled into thinking you must have a 'v-bar' either, take your time and beg/ borrow / steal (maybe not the latter) to test things out. If you have a good local supplier, they might let you play a little at their shop.

| Somebody told me that you start with a length thats just a bit longer than your arrows. If you go for a multirod then it needs to be 2-3 inchs longer again. Phil |

The end of my rod sat on the inner 9 ring at 100yds, (they don't call it a longrod for nothing) so it made it much easier to sight on the gold at that distance.Still couldn't hit the bŁ**%y thing consistently enough though. Mick

| 33", plus weights, for my multirod, with 28.5" arrows... as I said YMMV |

| I thought it was decided by The size of your bow bag How tall you were and will the bow be comfortable to rest on the rod as you talk or Can you fit the bow in your car without taking any bits off |
