| yep its a long bow quite a beefy one but a long bow all the same, the curtain hangs like backstop netting but i think a compound would be ever so slightly risky...or damn right dangerous one of the compound archers at our club has difficulty stopping arrows with a straw boss!!! |

| Couple of questions: a) What is the shortest useful distance (I would guess you have to be far enough away to sight sensibly and for the "boss" to stop the arrows) b) Does the boss have to be regulation height off the ground to prevent developing a "stooping" habit?

| I'm lucky in the fact that I have a drive down the side of my house ending at my garage. I can shoot at up to approx 20 yards. Any further and I am into the pavement or the middle of the road. I use a straw bale with various other materials in front. Mind you as I am a learner/novice my garage door has lots of holes in it. |
