Barebow classifications for target not field?

Can anyone tell me if there are GNAS classifications for barebow recurve? I've looked in my GNAS book, and while I can see it's a type of bow and comes up a lot in field, I can't see if it has it's own classification table or if all recurves use the same table.

Cheers

I don't have my book here, but I am sure there are no seperate classifications for BB and you have to use the Recurve data

I thought that might be the case, but I did see a pdf of a national shoot (can't remember which) but all the bows disciplines were broken down for rounds. That's what lead me to think there might be a separate category.

The national records on the GNAS website also show columns for "B/B" for outdoor target rounds. (I assume that B/B is short for barebow...) So if the GNAS have national records for barebow wouldn't they also have classifications for barebow?

None to my knowledge. I'm measuring my progress by the handicap and classification tables for target recurve.

GNAS longbow archers only got their own classifications a few years ago, and to my knowledge there are many more of them than there are barebow archers. I'm not holding my breath.

That would be far too sensible.

I think records and calssifications are rather decoupled. While it is easy to award extra medals, or records...to devise a whole new set of classification levels would be highly contentious.

I think Bare Bow recurve archers have to be content with winning their class at tournaments, and putting up with lower classifications, until they can badger GNAS in to it.

Hiya. No there aren't any separate classifications for barebow recurve (for target). Like JohnK said really - basically there almost certainly weren't enough scores available to build a classification table when the others were done. Same problem for juniors shooting longbow unfortunately (although in my spare(!) time I'm looking into that one.)

Thank you - does no one read either Archery UK or the several threads on here about Classifications. There will be Barebow Classifications at the same time as the revamped Compound and Longbow ones.
