Well I will be shooting Nackered but shooting.

I got a new cable fitted eventually on Wednesday evening but the bow was not shooting well. I took Thursday afternoon and today off work to sort it out. The Guardian didn't show up and Eastcote and the draw length was wrong on the bow I could borrow, so I had to get the Ultratec sorted.

Two and half hours yesterday at the bow press had the bow synched and with good timing. The axle-2-axle was correct, as was the brace height, and the draw length correct. I repositioned the peep and started shooting. Well then things did not go well. The bow felt great but the arrows were not behaving. Finally at about 8.30 it was shooting properly having moved the centre shot, noking point and changed the peak weight by 8lbs and back again.

This morning I managed to get sight marks, ending up with 10, 10, 9, 8, 8, 7 at 90m which is just fine

Made it back from Banchory late last night (Saturday) after shooting one day.

It was a good day - with the only rain being light and drizzly.

I enjoyed the shooting, and came out better than I expected to do (see journal for details)

Thanks to all at Banchory for the organisation of the shoot.

Rain? You had rain down your end of the line?? I thought it was a great day on Saturday - not too warm and not too cold (although Pelican did seem to be a little chilly - which was definitely a bonus for me say no more...)

It was a gorgeous day today - a real scorcher. Some good scores shot. Even I managed to put in some respectable arrows Best scores I've shot since 2005! Woo hoo. MB still eludes me, but it's getting closer!

Good to see all the usual reprobates again

More like being sprayed with a fine mist, actually.

Congrats on your good shooting BTW.

Next stop WoSAA @ Linwood...

I thought that the weather was excellent and what some called rain others called a blessing - cooling mist. The weather on Sunday was the best we've had this year and I got my highest score this outdoor season. It might, as Murray said, be coming together at last.

I won't be at Linwood as obedient husband duties call and will be at the Falkirk Wheel when you will all be enjoying yourselves. Catch up with you at Montrose or the Scottish Champs.

video of banchory fita star

hey everyone I have just uploaded a short video with footage from banchory http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CDHaz5UkChU
what does everyone think? I was thinking it might be cool to keep a short video record from each shoot to bring back the happy memories
and its evidence it wasn't raining in scotland for once this summer!!!
