WoSAA Championships - Linwood 21/22-July

Well, fresh from my outing to Banchory last week, I'm heading to Linwood for the WoSAA Championships this weekend.

Weather forecasts differ. The BBC is showing two different forecasts. The 5 day lookahead shows sunny intervals, the pictures for Scotland South is showing a band of rain on both days...

Should be fun...

Iain,

Well, I won't be there as I've to do the "obedient" husband thing and go with wife and the outlaws to the Falkirk Wheel and other places this weekend. As I've been to a competition just about every week, it seemed only reasonable [yes Iain, I can be reasonable when I want to] to miss one weekend of enjoyment. Have a good shoot and I'll catch up with you later, possibly the Scottish Champs in a few weeks time?

BillM

It's Linwood - what do you expect?? Guaranteed wet and windy.

Linwood was the first ever venue where we turned up, said hi to the organiser, and promptly got in the car and went back home

See you there

I turned up to Linwood a few years ago and shot a Fita on a very wet and windy day. A big man on the target to my right proceeded to shoot the round with a wet suit on I just got a disturbing mental image, meddler in a rubber suit

I don't go in for rubber... leather on the other hand... (but it's useless in the wet).

The BBC's graphical weather forecast for Saturday / Sunday does not look good.

Well, I shall make the journey to Linwood, complete with bow, arrows and stuff, then see what happens.

@BillM - don't think I'm doing the Scottish this year, I think I will be at Lilleshall.
