I've splashed out on one of the AI enamel pin badges...If you spot it, say hello!!!

For any avoidance of doubt, I'll be the one with all the fancy gear, shaking on the shooting line while failing miserably to hit the target!!!

Is the target list usually posted before hand to check???

No - it'll be available on the day.
Its been a while since someone turned up at a shoot in Scotland they had entered and didn't have a place. Cricky!! must be over 10 years

Organisers usually post a list on the SAA site if shoot has outside entrants.

I've not got a place to shoot (found out i was free to go too late to enter the afternoon session), but I'm travelling down with a pal anyway as I've never been to a shoot as a spectator before. It'll be very strange just watching. Might even take a wee pair of binos.
See you all there I hope

McCaig, remember to take your gear, and your whites, if someone doesn't turn up, good chance to take their place.

See you next Sunday

Had an absolute ball yesterday at the comp....I can see myself taking part in a lot more in the future. More than happy with my score of 445, which I feel is not too bad for a first portsmouth & first comp.

I was on target 12d, in case anyone is interested. I would have said hello to anyone, but don't know what you all look like!!!

Sorry Darther, but I would have said Hello and had a chat if I'd known what you're everyday name was. I did ask if anyone knew who was from E.K. but all I got was shrugged shoulders. I was on target 8 so we were close. It was a good shoot and seemed to go quickly. My next shoot is the double Worcester at Lasswade on 4th March (day after I return from France - early start from Oban - I'll be tired) so ask Tina or Donald to point you to Bill from Oban if you are there.

I found it quite strange....I was looking about at folk, knowing some people were regulars here, but with no idea who they were!!!

I was right at the very end - looking at the wall, representing Giffnock Archers. Thats probably why no-one knew anything about EK folk.

That explains a lot as it is probably the first time the Giffnock Club have been represented at a comp - certainly in recent years. I'll know for the next time, so I will seek you out and make an introduction. I've done the circuit for about 6 years and I knew the vast majority of those present yesterday. As time passes, people come and seek you out to chat and catch up with the news.

Bill,

Just noticed in another thread...were you shooting the PM session??? I was in the AM. That would probably explain a lot....Not decided yet if I want to do the Worcester at lasswade in March yet.
