Well day one done and i`m damp and knackered, did just barely manage to get my 800 Rose (832)
Sprog got a medal (she was only one in her group although i`m not sure that would have stopped her)
+ her 800 Rose too (and she beat me)

met IMPA and had a small taste of Jock Juice (Good Stuff )
also met Simon + many other Non AIUK Archers
currently trying to get the whites dry to go and get them damp again whilst pointlessly wearing them under waterproofs

Yaa Day 2 done much drier yesterday and despite the gusty winds much more enjoyable for it
i managed to get myself onto the leader board from the off in 2nd place
with the chap on target with me who had 1st place yesterday in 3rd place breathing down my neck (he was good target company too )
i did drop back a bit at the end of the 2nd distance and we were tied for 1 dozen then i pulled ahead again
ended up i got 2nd for Sunday and 3rd for the Double
chap i was on Target with got 1st Sat 3rd Sunday and 1st for the double (he def handles shooting in rain better than i do)
Sprog had 1st 1st and 1st again 2 gold medals and a Trophy so she`s gone home happy (and oddly enough sunburnt)
she did have a worry 1/2 way through when an arrow came of the rest and went along the back of her hand, she sat out 1/4 of a dozen with an ice pack and the judges let her shoot 9 to catch up on the next end she made 877 so was fairly close to getting her 900 rose, so like me will be trying again at the Kent Champs in August.

Met Rohentwo today also Simon was also there again for day 2 might have been some others form AiUK there but they was hiding

It was nice to meet you on Saturday congrats to you both on the placing and 1st Place for the sprog. Glad the rain held off for the Sunday it was a bit persistant on Saturday wasn't it. Its a really nice shoot and I shot with ASW1973 Alistair who was showing us all where the Gold was. I caught the last dozen at our county match Sunday after the football tournament. Boy No 2s team came 2nd so it was worth it. The shoot was on an open field so I think they were getting the brunt of the wind and scores were being effected by it as well! I don't know how it ended as I helped clear up but then had to get home as Boy No1 needed feeding and watering! As with a 10 yr old he was moaning so badly I didn't want to inflict that on the other archers after a hard days shooting.

Yep, it was a good shoot. I shot pretty atrociously, but still had some fun Even in the rain. Was good to meet some AIUK'ers as well. Well done Steve!
