Guildford Little Acorn, 23 June

Guildford AC are holding their Little Acorn shoot for kids (only) on Saturday 23 June, and they appear to be under-subscribed. All those with juniors and not doing anything that day, please have a think about it as its a great fun (fancy dress) shoot, and they're happy to accomodate youngsters right down to their mini Western (20 & 15 yards), for under 10's.

Entry form is here

Ffish Junior will be there, and it'll be a great opportunity for me to not have to focus on my score/handicap/follow-through or anything else archery related!

This looks lots of fun! I will pass it on to Mayflower, and I might well bring Joe along!

Can I dress up too?

It is a good shoot for juniors who are not always chasing scores. One distance down so they can all chill out. Not sure any of the costumes are going to come up to the 'standard' of last year. Stylisht in a sleek little purple number with high heels, earings etc had to be seen. I do have the photographs !!

We have got a couple of archers going and trying to get more cos it is nice to have this shoot for the juniors. Especially nice they shoot one distance down so those who are not too confidant if they have recently gone up in age can have a breather!!
Hope to see some AIUK archers there.

What a fun day! Lovely to see Ffish, Ffish Jnr, Shirley, and a fella in a dress!

I'd really recommend this to any juniors starting out in archery, it's a relaxed day, and the little guy who won the mini western had been shooting for only 2 months!

Looking forward to seeing the pics of the kids shooting in their fancy dress - great idea! We only have one junior at the mo - really need to get some more young blood in the clubs in Scotland to kick some pensioner a**

The fancy dress was a good idea I think Murray, as it dispensed with any 'dress code' worries! The theme was army/navy etc. Joe just wore combats and a black top, topped off with a very fetching IRA-style balaclava (which he did actually shoot the first few ends wearing!). I don't there's any photographic evidence though!

BTW, nice udders!
