Some friends of mine were told that they gave priority to the double entries even though it isn't a double round. Therefore they didn't get to just shoot the h2h day, the second day may have spaces due to archers opting just to shoot a single FITA 70m on that day - but bear this in mind when considering entry next year.

Everywhere you go priority will be given to double entries / people camping. This is the first year we've run the Head to Head on the Saturday and it's been done mainly because it's extremely disheartening to work (bloody hard) for 3 days only to have a couple of dozen people hang around for the presentations at the end of it. Having the 720 on the Sunday also means we can fairly accurately predict when everything will finish so enough people will show up to help pack the gear away. Oh the joys of running a tournament!

Usually I find that it's only on double rounds that you get priority given to double entries. I do think it's totally understandable, just not obvious that it should be this way - so it's better to be aware of the situation in advance and plan to do both or none rather than be disappointed next year.

I'll be there, 11C. Praying for the rain to have cleared off and leave the weekend pretty much dry. There's nothing worse than sitting shooting all day in the rain, then you adjust how you're sitting and hey presto there's that disgusting damp trickle where you really don't want one!

Yes there is something worse, shooting all day in the rain and then lying in your tent listening to the rain comming down all night-for two days and nights.(fond memories of Penicuik)
