I'll be there along with CALOR (wife) and amydudders (daughter). Now I am just watching the weather and just hoping we do not get too wet.

BTW I do have a few places left on the Cheltenham Archers Longbow Two-Way Western on the 2nd. If anyone wants to attend just drop me a message or email a_j_paterson@hotmail.com

Was due to go but was persuaded to go to the SCAA interclub instead - looking at the forecast I'm not sure if that was a good move or not!

Not a good day after all!

With the weather being so blustery today the hereford was cancelled after the 80yd section and The National didnt even start. The Judges judging that to start the National was too dangerous! And to move the bosses in the Hereford from 80 to 60yds in the high wind would also be dangerous! It was a bit disappointing in the least especially as the competition was running over 3/4 of an hour late due to the conditions and some archers taking over 4 mins to loose 3 arrows at a time. Never mind though the prize giving went well and quickly. Got back to the van turned phone back on and had messages abound that No 1 son had got too close to No 2 sons golf swing (on a crazy golf course!) and was heading for A+E in Oxford. So I had to divert at speed to Oxfords John Rascliffe Hospital where I spent the next few hours deciding upon stitches or glue to heal the gaping hole in his temple. Glue it was and thankfully with a headache that will last for a while he will be allright despite complaining that his best T Shirt is ruined. Bless No 2 son he does have a very good full swing for a six year old. But I must get around to teaching him how to putt properly!
The gods were working against me today!
