Not forgotten they were just holding out to see if you would react! Well done on the mutley though an excellent result. And it was fun out there today nice weather and I found out that my score card was a few points shy so I ended up with 394 in the end. Happy with my first foray into the woods especially as I only missed once. And that was at one of the biggest targets (No3). Sometimes you just cant explain things and that was one of them I only wounded it second arrow second time around. It was fun in those conditions and surprisingly safer than I thought it would be, Im glad I did it now beats helping out which I planned to do. IMPA field archer added to the archery CV.

The stoat got killed both times but as my sight didnt go low enough I was aiming about 8" below just a good guess the first time and it was a bit of luck!. But hard to see if youd actually hit the thing. It was only just over an inch wide at the kill zone The Squirrels tail fooled quite a few people I heard. They walked away thinking they had a wound but it was actually out of the hit zone and a miss! Darren who was shooting with us shot it in the arms and tried to argue that it would have starved eventually had it been a real squirrel! I was shooting with two longbow archers today and there is a wonderful simplicity to the longbow especially in the woods. I might have to have a go at some point.

Yeah, I was chucking more than I needed to down, just to make sure on the small ones. I managed to get round without losing anything with two sightmarks ... 18 and 27 metres... on a marked imperial course!
