I would love to have a go at field but would a complete field novice be allowed to come along and lose their arrows ?

Of course, there are no rules about losing arrows, a complete novice is allowed to lose their arrows just as much as anyone.

Seriously though, give it a go, I have shot at Westcott several times, even if you do miss, you are unlikely to lose any arrows. I would be there if it wasn’t the same day as the Berkshire Field Champs.
