No Des. I means that, having been thrown off a shooting line and publicly humiliated for my green shirt having been judged the wrong shade, I resolved long ago never to put myself in a situation where that might happen again.

I'm not going to bore everybody - if you want the gory details, see my post on this page.

As soon as my printer stops going wrong, I'll post off an entry form! Couldn't miss shooting at beautiful Knebworth! Hopefully there'll be a crowd from Chiltern.

And.... I need to beat my Winter league archrival, Robert!!

Sorry it sounds fantastic but I'm already entered in the Oxford Archers Fita weekend and the Olympic round is on the 13th. Next year maybe

That's all I need to hear, I'm out.

Green Nazis, I have no time for them, even if I do wear white, I've got no time for it. I'm there to shoot, not procrastinate on whether the original green pre-fade was the correct one or not.

Slightly OTT, PP! The two GD shoots I've attended have been well run, relaxed and friendly affairs. If you don't go, your loss, tbh!

Certainly *hope* to be there to give you a run for your money FR but I dont expect to have any of your ACC's left as I've smashed two already...that grouping is getting "pleasantly tight"

Rach, don't get me wrong, I've never been to GDB, and wasn't saying they were bad or anything, just saying that I have no time for the pettiness that "green inspectors" go on about. I can only imagine the mixture of disappointment and embarrassment that must've been felt when some bowls club judge told Derik he couldn't shoot in that green.

These poxy GNAS colours are a real sore point with me, particularly as getting sport clothing in white that's completely plain is very rare indeed.

And as for green, well, it's a joke.

But hey, aside from that, Archery's still a lovely sport full of lovely people

PorlyP,

I believe that you are inferring that you will not be shooting the GDB comp because of the GNAS dress rule. Slightly hypocritical when you are promoting the Royal Richmond shoot which also has the GNAS dress code!!

our shoots are normaly a relaxed affair and to my knowledge we have never had dress code issues.

At the time of year the shoot will be going on i normally find judges to be more relaxed about the dress code, they understand that you may wear brown hiking boots rather than white trainers if it's wet and muddy, they also understand that you may wear a blue rain mac to shoot in if it's hammering it down.

This is just my experience so far.

Can we leave the row about dress code rules in the correct forum where it belongs to keep this thread free for those who want to actually come or need to know more info.

Thank you...
