Clophill FITA 4

I sent away my entry form for this tournament a few weeks ago and had a letter in the post regarding it this morning. I was told it was fully booked and that I couldn't shoot in any of the sessions!

This is particularly frustrating for me because I was hoping to enter all four to have a chance at meeting the selection scores required before the end of April if I want to shoot at the outdoor world champs. This would give me four shouts at the 650+ I need. I never suspected it would be full four months early!!!

Does anyone want to sacrifice their places for me?

They only seem to have 10 bosses!

There is the Chippeham FITA on that weekend -we're going to that one....

Chippenham is only British Record Status - not acceptable for selection.
22nd is the same weekend as the selection shoot at Lilleshall.

I've been told that the Oxford 70m in May is already almost full also, both days.

I think this is actually good news (for the future). People are clearly wanting to shoot 70m rounds. Hopefully this will mean that double 70m rounds or 70m round robin / head to head formats will largely displace the imperial rounds.

Personally I'd be happy if I never had to shoot a York again (only do at the moment if there's no other options available).

I enjoy shooting 70m and i really enjoy the challenge of shooting a great round like the York. Shooting well at 100 yards is a great feeling. The more variety of rounds the better. If we all had to shoot 70m at the big shoots i could see it getting a bit boring to be honest.

The problem with shooting 70M is that you can only get a bowman classification at that distance
