Thumbs up

This was a fantastic shoot. Many thanks to all involved in the preparation, planning and execution of the event. You're a credit to the sport.

It was my first outdoor target competition (actually it was my first non-AIUK outdoor target anything) and, being Strine, the weather didn't bother me at all. My shooting did. Dry and anything between 18-25 degrees is "do anything" weather in my books. Perfect target-thunking weather.

Can't wait to see the results sheet... I'm dying to see how close to the bottom of the Windsor gents recurve I ended up.

And a big congratulations to all forumites (and their friends, etc) who walked away with silverware or medals. Especially RuthMc, who's just as shocked as anyone else here might be. I'm sure Ruth will post or journal it shortly...

I completely overdid it, Ruth. I was only meant to pop round to say hello and sit quietly in the shade. But I couldn't sit around when the rest of my club members were running around working so hard.

Matt got lucky in the raffle and won a new armguard for himself and a chestguard for me, which is a) Purple and white, my colours and b) exactly the right size It wasn't a fix was it Clicki?
Not a fix, but I put my mojo out there

So I'm very happy with my first outdoor comp and my first ever recurve comp, and slowly getting over the shock of winning a silver
And remember, Ruthie...you won it at a NATIONAL RECORD STATUS EVENT!!!

That goes for Rachel's first class score!

Do you know when the results might be going up, Click? I want to see if I managed to beat my usual 2nd from the bottom placing.

I have requested a copy as soon as they're ready, which I'll post here and on the website.

Idont see why you be upset with your shooting, going for 3rd class score you got within 10 points of 2nd class, good on ya

Hopefully im closer to the top than the bottom, time and Clicki will tell
