Archers in Abingdon/Oxfordshire

I've moved to Oxfordshire - Abingdon to be precise. I've located the local clubs but would really like somewhere I can practice safely outdoors or indoors during winter whenever I want. Anyone know of somewhere?
Also, any other archers in the Abingdon area who are looking for a club, please let me know.

Why not try giving Radley College, which is just up the road from Abingdon, a ring. Nearly twenty years ago I was a pupil, and they've got miles and miles of playing fields which are usually devoid of anyone except in the afternoons between about 2:00pm and 5:00pm... They've also go a sports hall for the indoor stuff, which is usually fairly busy and booked out to external sports clubs during evenings and weekends, but I'm sure you could come to some arrangement with them!

As a quid-pro-quo for letting you practice whenever you want, you might try persuading the school Authorities to let you resurrect the 'Radley Bowmen' which I tried to start up for the pupils when I was there. It wasn't very successful (I think we 'peaked' at five members!), but with a bit of 'external' help from qualified coaches, could be made into a viable after-school activity. They might even still have a few target bosses and stands lying about somewhere from when I was 'in charge'... and they'll probably still have the club insignia on file in the school shop if you want club apparel to flog to potential members.

PM me if you want more details...

I know it's a bit far afield, but Bowmen of Warfield (in Bracknell) have a private outdoor range which can be used 365 days a year
