Many many moons ago I used to be IN one of the bonfire societies. That was so much better than the years of standing on the streets that I'd done before cos you've got so much more room !! I wonder if I'll enjoy watching as much as doing ???

Do they still do the big firework display at Newhaven fort ? That used to be wicked !

I see your location is "lewes" - do you stay in the town ? Many fond memories of the Voly and the Rainbow. Was a nice walk out to Kingston to the Juggs on a summer sunday too ! Bet it's all changed rather now though !

We were going to shoot the Newhaven western but it clashes with the beginners course my daughter is starting this Sunday. Were you at the Hasting soup shoot or the Sussex County Indoor champs?

Talking Newhaven/Lewes

I live just outside of Lewes on the Malling estate so fairly close to the town, but is closer enough to get to the field/woods/indoor areas, we are very lucky to have our own private field to shoot when we please.

We have our open day on Saturday May 5th at the field. If the weather is good should be a good day.

Good luck with the beginner’s course, I hope she enjoys it; it’s very additive but so much fun and helps with mental discipline

Yep, Know Malling well. I used to stay out at Plumpton, so Lewes was the main place to go for an evening out with pals if you didn't want to hang around the village ! Bet Lewes has changed a fair bit by now though. I'm really getting a hankering for a trip down memory lane sometime soon !!!
