| Bow International - Traditional Archery Challenge I've not seen this mentioned elsewhere; there is a 2 day event being held at Locko Park, near Derby on the 8th & 9th September which comprises of 4 disciplines, target, field, roving and clout, half with a day at each. All archers from any society can enter, the event will be holding its own insurance which is included in the entry fee. Wooden handle bows are encouraged but will accept takedowns with metal risers. Mediterranean loose only. Wooden arrows only. No Compounds. No Crossbows. No sights. No stabilisers. No release aids. No plastic fletchings. The equipment will be split into 2 styles - 1. wooden bows 2. bows with fibreglass. All classes i.e. Gents, Ladies, junior and cub girls and boys will all be catered for. There is a limit of 200 places and closing date for applications is the end of August. I believe there are prizes for each discipline, but I do know that the overall prize is a Bickerstaffe bow worth £400. This is sponsored by Bow International magazine and details can apparently be found in there magazine but unfortunately they don't have a web-site. If you have any questions let me know and I'll try and get the answers. Application forms can be downloaded form here

| Tried to find out about it but site seems to have been 'hacked' Can you tell me where to find the rules for the different disciplines ? |

| Karen, Could you tell me which site you believe to have been hacked? The application form is hosted on the Black Arrow FAC website which appears to be OK to me. As to rules for the different disciplines, I'm only aware of those that I have detailed in the post above. What areas are you concerned about? Cheers

| Tried something called http://www.bownet.com but no joy. I assume the field and target are the same as usual (but maybe you could quote max distances etc) but don't know anything about clout or roving so would be grateful for information here. |

| Not sure what that site is but I don't think it's anything to do with Bow International or this shoot. I'll try and get answers for your query. Cheers

| The Bownet site used to be the website of Bow International, but this changed when Richard White was deposed as editor. Richard still owned the website, so he re-used it for his photography business. The current home of Bow International is on Blaze Publishing's website: https://www.blazepublishing.co.uk//Default.aspx | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| On the off chance anybody was thinking about going to this, I'm afraid it has had to be cancelled.
