I own a Bowtec Thunderbolt, I can't compare with any of the others for you as I havn't used them. I can tell you that mine is great, it was custom made for me by Bowtec. It has a Ziricote handle, bamboo core limbs which are covered with Osage veneer under clear glass, 43# @28". The Thunderbolt has a deep reflex/deflex but when strung forms a D to meet the rules for AFB. Dave Folwell at Bowtec manufactures the whole bow from start to finish, if you read his speel on his home page at BowTec Archery you will see what I mean and I will vouch that it is all true. The finish Dave achieves on his bows is second to none. I know quite a few people who own Bowtec bows and I have yet to hear a bad word from anyone. Here are a few pictures of mine, I highly recommend Bowtec and have no commercial interest. ![]() ![]() ![]()

BowTec Thunderbolt I already have a BowTec Mistral, bamboo with black glass 50lb @28. A really nice smooth shooting bow. I fancy trying a Thunderbolt could you tell me what it shoots like? Cheers Martin.

I recently shot a friend's Bowtec- can't remember which model- but the bow was really good to shoot with light handshock. What did impress me was the obvious quality of the bow. He's had it made with a full pistol grip whish suits his shooting style, so that's one option that's available, if that's any help.

Thunderbolt Yes thanks, One of the reasons I want to stick with BowTec is the the grip on both flatbow models looks identical. I don't shoot so well when swapping between bows if the grips are different shapes.
