1/4 arrow shafts

Hi everybody!

does anybody know anybody who stocks 1/4" arrow shafts? im trying to get a dozen to make up some arrows for my wife because she tried some at the club and they fly really nicely off her bow because of the low weight.

Ive tried what seems like everybody who lists them and they are ALL out of stock!! they seem to be rarer that rocking horse poop to get hold of at the moment!

any help would be very much appreciated!!!

I think Carol Edwards has them. I want some of these too, cuz my longbow is whimpy.

very sorry to hear that i understand from her website as well she is stocked by ten-ring for shafts and they are out of stock

I'm really sorry to hear that, as well. My best wishes go out to her family.

I suggest you speak to Jaselpool (Jason) of The Longbow Shop. We had a long discussion about arrows to match my low poundage and his arrows are gorgeous! Not to mention, he's a lovely chap to deal with - very friendly and knowledgeable.

Try ringing Chris Boyton,he can make the shafts to any size you like!

Flybow do some - as well as piles and nocks to suit. They are only 24" long, and I think are made of Ramin or some such hardwood - they feel quite heavy for their size. However they do work well for my son, so they're worth a try - v cheap too. As a warning though, I found it a bit tricky to taper the ends evenly to attach the pile and nock - I have a couple of wonky piles on those that I made.

Quicks do 1/4'' parallel fit brass piles (60grains I think)
I did the pile tapering with a pencil sharpener and then some final sanding.


As for suppliers I have used Quicks mostly for the shafts and J&J Traditional archery for the nocks and piles (100grain taper fit field points)
