| I hate self yew just to start my little rant there is so much talk so much ink spent and so much focus on self yew longbows. they have fantastic cast, use the benefits of a natural laminate, look great....oh and also damage very easily if bashed of knocked loose a lot of cast in warm weather snap in freezing weather....they just annoy me oh and best of all they are sooooooooooooooooo expensive give me a hickory backed osage any day you can throw it around drop it even the occasional dry loose and its still ok.....lets us not forget why yew became the timber of choice in the middle ages hmmmmm...oh thats right there werent many options too damp for glue to make a laminate lets use what we've got that silly softwood that might just see the battle out more than likely wont but hey...(phew) wow look at all that writing with no punctuation  | |||||||||||||

| Certainly do... and Yew and Bloodwood and Snakewood and Lemonwood and Greenheart and Purpleheart and Cocobolo and Pau Ameralo and Bamboo....but Yew's my favourite.

 Stop Shouting... Glad that you have a yew selfbow, most people will give their hind teeth for one. Me I have a stick and it works as well as I do.!

| I had a self yew, which eventualy broke at the bottom nock, I loved it, and would buy another if the price was right. (This one was £50 with no guarantee, I took a chance and it lasted 2 years) However, for the money I'd rather have Osage because of the durabillity of the wood Daniel | |||||||||||||||
