| Have you retired a longbow For the first time I'm considering retiring a longbow from active service,it still shoots very good scores at 180 yards,has no defects(crystals ect..,)but it has followed the string and tends to lose power after 4 to 5 doz. Have you retired a longbow,how bad do you let it get before you stop shooting it ?      |

| Have not been shooting long enough to have retired a bow. Am thinking of selling my lighter bow as I no longer use it, this might be enough to persuade my wife to let me get another one of similar weight to my Bickerstaffe. I have heard that a little string follow is not such a bad thing? Said to be "kinder to the bow", no idea why, sounds a bit BS'y to me

| My 7 year old bickerstaffe is rarely used these days, due to it losing cast after only a couple of dozen arrows. Still a very nice bow, but would rather keep it in one piece  Kae. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
