| Well ..my new bow has his first real test today and came through with flying colours. 456 for a Portsmouth...nothing to write home about, but enough for a 1st place.

| Hi YS Congratulations on two counts. Firstly for making a stunningly good looking bow,just wait till the colour of that Osage mellows to that gorgeous goldeny glow,and secondly 456 Portsmouth first time out in anger! Bloody well done. I bet you're feeling the dogs do-dahs with a result like that with a bow you made yourself. Once again well done and may you have a great seasons shooting. |

| Looks like a very nice bow! One day I'll learn the skill - hopefully in as much detail as you seem to have acquired. Here was me expecting to see a very long clamp to hold the pieces of wood together! It's nice to know that good old electrical tape sometimes just can't be beaten!  Oh, and is that actually a self-bow? I thought they had to be a single piece of wood with no horn nocks or arrow plates...? |
