Trad recurve or AFB

I have been shooting for about two years now and am jsut getting into Field Archery. Since buyng a cheap Mongolian bow, my target recurve has not come out to play as the Instinctive shooting of the Mongol is so much more rewarding.

To develop my instinctive shooting skill I want to get a better bow and am just about to order a Mistral from BowTec, but...hold on a minute... what about the trad recurve bows (I like the one piece style)?

What do you guys (and gals) think? AFB or one piece Trad Recurve?

All opininons and advice very gratefully recieved.

Just a thought; why not take all the gubbins off your recurve and use that? You may find it's a completely different beast that'll give you a new challenge.

Plus, you can spend time finding out about what others are using for field and maybe try other stuff out before you invest.

HTH

Martin

Well, shooting both.....

The advice to go try them both and see is very wise. Like many other bows they can be very expensive (mind you, the Internature AFB's and the Ragim Black Bear hunter are both very reasonable), but why spend on what you don't want or don't get on with.

As with all archery - try before you buy! lol - even borrow for a while if you've a friendly archer who's not using one any more!
