Riser wood?

Can anyone tell me what kind of wood this riser was built with? The riser is early 70's.

Looks a lot like either Bubinga or possibly Wenge. It'd help to know what the bow is Bri.

My guess would be wenge.

Do you have any specialist timber dealers near you? Something like Yandles in Martock- chances are you'll get an instant ID.

Oh dear Ullr, that's one sexy bow! If you have a name that'd be cool. So I can find my own second hand!

It's a 70's Herters. I have a few of their older (60's) bows that are Brazilian Rosewood but this wood looks different?
