Begginers guide to bow making

Over the last 6 months I have taught myself (with a lot of help from forum members) to make longbows / warbows
so I thought that to return all the help I have received I would try and get down in writing all I have learned in the hope it will be of help/interest to any others who would like to give bow making a try

so here it is http://www.alanesq.com/The-Back-Street-Bowyer.pdf (right click and select "save target as" to download it)

Its early days and I hope to improve it a lot in the near future

Thanks for that, I shall have a look later on, maybe it'll give me the confidence to have a go at that next.

Thats what I wrote it for - go for it :-)

Look at it this way; if you fail you have still learned a lot and have a much better understanding of what goes into making a longbow etc. and it only cost you £15 and a few hours playing

if you succeed you will feel so proud it will hurt !

I hope to one day add a "readers bows" section with people showing proudly the bow they have made ;-)
