Leeds, Yorkshire,Longbows

Hi All
I am new to longbow and very interested in the history side of things.
Most members of my club shoot recurve as first choice with only one or two archers having a preference for the more traditional style.
I would like to get together with like minded people for possible shoots-get togethers- sharing knowlege / techniques and tuition (target or field) in the Leeds, west yorkshire area.
Maybe there are clubs that deal with these things but ive not found one dealing mainly with longbow near me.
I can hit a target now but could do with some expert advice to improve my skills.

Panda Bowmen in Bramhope (NW Leeds) are well known for their longbow shooters. Adwalton Moor Archers in Drighlington seem to have a lot of longbow shooters, as do Aire Valley in Bingley/Keighley/Skipton.

Bowmen of Adel also have a strong longbow presence, and are always willing to help anyone.

bit further east (ok, so you can't go much further east without getting wet), burton constable co-of-bowmen at burton constable hall, nothing but longbows (well, almost) and reputably some pretty good bowyers too

You can also go to Saville bowmen where you will find stickmen and stick makers

If Rotherham isn't too far for you, look up Colin Hope of Chantry Bowmen. I believe they are a strong longbow club.
