Yep, I'm the guy in the big green floppy hat. I am the longbowman in the speedshoot, and there are a couple of close ups of me in the battle scene. The guy in th steel helm and chain quoif that you see in close up shooting the English Longbow, you might recognise as well..It's Gwynn, and his photo on this site is a still from that film if you think that he looks familliar

Yes, I definitely recognised Gywnn from his avatar. It's just nice to know who we're looking at. It's a great little film! Perhaps we'll need to arrange an AIUK outing to watch an exhibition!

Nice Shooting butt
Is it not customary to shoot the English war bow drawn back to the ear, good shooting though, nice video.

actually you'd be surprised, depending on the ability of the archer they were sometimes drawn back to the ear to gain that extra little kick. This is evident in many scriptures and pictures from history.

I'm a reenactor myself and look forward to doing an event soon as a fighting archer. I've only just joined this forum but i'm glad I have! excellent video you have there! I'm gonna see if I can drag my friend (and his car) to one of your events in the summer when I'm not working!
