first bow

was originally looking to get back into archery and looking at buying a second hand recurve, but then started reading about the longbow and traditional style archery etc. I decided to have a go at making my own.

I bought a piece of lemonwood backed with hickory part tillered and here are the results so far after shaping tillering.
Next job is to get a decent leather grip on with an arrowpass (which i have a nice piece of mother of pearl for) and possibly back the nocks with some nice purpleheart or maybe horn?

Thanks englishwarbow for pointing me in the right direction

Looking good! I bet your pleased I would be. Mother of pearl looks good as an arrow pass and I would definitely put something on to protect the nocks. How long before you'll shoot it?
