Strike plate

Hello,

I'm still fairly new to bow building. Any ideas where I can purchase some horn for a strike plate (preferably online)?

best regards,

Barney

Horn for arrow nock inserts would do fine (it'd need cutting/shaping to what you need), you can get that from most places, Jase at the longbow shop sells them, as do highland horn, Richard Head etc.

As Et Tu Brute said, making your own is quite straightforward. I did this myself the other week as my bow was never fitted with one. The scariest bit is taking the dremel to a £200 stick and praying!
