| I have been working with this and find that I tend to come off the back as I move to set the line. My solution has been to pick something on the ground off to the side of the target and use a knuckle to line up on that, haven't really got that working properly yet, but feel it has potential.

| shooting both longbow and barebow i find that with aiming i tend to use the same method with both. that is to say that i start drawing up the bow while closing one eye and then put the arrow point on the base of the stand. After coming to rest I for a few seconds i move the arrow point up to my aiming point and move it to the left or right depending on the feel of the conditions and general experiance. This means that my hand and bow is covering the target but becuase i focus on the end of the arrow and use this as my aiming point it doesnt effect the shot at all. After holding it steady at the final aioming point i release as a normal shot so there are no repercussions on the stance and nearly dry losing as you mentioned hope it helps slightly and if i havent explained it very well then just ask and i will try again | |||||||||||||||

just my thoughts as with my mongolian i'm trying to "visually measure" the distance from my grip for different distances if you know what i mean. yoda | |||||||||||||||

| I was experimenting with knuckles in the back garden and found that the gap between two knuckles seemed to work better than the actual joint, probably just a personal thing. I am in a slump with my actual form at the moment, not sure whether this is caused by, or has caused, the problems the chiropractor has rather painfully worked on. Hopeful of picking up again if I can shoot tomorrow, now I understand the way the body has reacted.
