| My tenpenneth for what its worth - at your weight (48lb) you should be looking at about 5 under .If you increase your bow weight in the future, you should increase to maintain a similar perecentage/ratio, probably looking at 10under if/when drawing 60-70lb.
These can only be average guidlines (based on 28" draw) and will vary with the bow and archer.
Once you find what works bet for you, concentrate on spine, weight and arrow point of balance matching to get as near a matched sets as possible - I'm a clout/roving mark man myself and have certainly noticed benefits (both range and consistncy) from a couple of close mached set of rat-tailed arrows I commissioned from Little John Arrows last year, but this is considerably more important for target wallers.
