| Just my 2 pennorth. When using tapers I use the taper tool a little at a time, testing the fit as I go; I usually find that I don't need the shaft to go all the way to the bottom of the taper tool. Parallel fit, I crimp the shaft with pliers. Have never had any bother with quick setting araldite, apart from one set that I lost three off in one shoot for no apparent reason, unless the gale force winds were somehow to blame. Bostick or fletching glue for the nocks. I prefer to apply nocks and piles to an unfinished shaft for better adhesion and then apply three coats of Rustins with a brush, to get in between the fletchings. Beware, arrow making is VERY habit forming.
