| An Invitation. I am looking for Traditional archers for a demonstration/exhibition event at the World Field Archery Championship, to be held on Saturday 6th September at St Fagans National History Museum.
I have been given the go ahead to stage this event in a central area, where the 60m shoot off was staged last year. The field is fenced off and allows perfect viewing for the public and will provide security for equipment. The idea is to generate interest in Historical bows and it should appeal to the crowds because they will actually be able to see the flight of the arrows.
I expect a fair response from Longbow/Warbow enthusiasts but I'd like to have a wide selection of bows and styles, so if you shoot an AFB, Asiatic reflex, Longbow, even a Yumi and fancy a day out shooting and chatting about your pride and joy, send me a PM.
I am hoping to print up some information about Asiatic bows and cultures and organise an area where the public can read and discuss about our bows and equipment. I would appreciate some people with a wealth of information about Longbows (ppl's favourite)
It is not a re-enactment but feel free to wear some traditional costume for effect.
Above all, this is an opportunity to promote 'real' archery. |
