What is the shortest recurve bow you have seen?

this includes all types of recurve style bow...

To be serious though, probably some mongolian/sythian bows are the shortest recurve bows I've seen.

I used to own this one, sold it to an AIUKer if I remember right?? 52" if I recollect, it was also made in a 46" length years ago..

on the subject of novelty small recurves, there is an absolutely beautiful trophy at Pentref for traditional field archery in a glass case. It was made by bowyer Gary Evans i understand and donated to the club.

Its a wooden hunter recurve bow about 10" tall, on a plaque with quiver and small arrows. The detail is superb, all the coloured laminations, even a metal threaded hole for a button on the window. Never seen anything like it.

i'll get a photo of it when i'm up there tomorrow night and post it

But of fun at work some years ago...

This is a 1/4 scale Border Elite. It was a Leaving present for the previous Owner.

It has Finger Groves, two cores, and all the extras...




It shot cocktail sticks into doors.

I'll post a pick when there is another mini bow being made at the moment. Novelty bows are fun.

The one that has just entered the spray room has 57lbs at 14" and is destined for a wall in germany :-)
