| Have you tried contacting The Society for Medieval Archaeology? They may be able to get you a copy of the article. Alternatively try getting an inter-library loan of the Journal. It'll depend on the inter-library loan policy of your local library. Or you could smile nicely at one of the Students on the board. Universities with an Archaeology department will probably have the journal in stock and the photocopiers are always close by.. ![]() Hope this helps.

![]() Let me know if you have any luck. I'll also see if one of my colleagues is a member of the society - they might have a copy of the issue.

| I don't trust the academics to get it right... Aren't they the ones go around referring to old composite recurve bows as "compound"...? ![]() | |||||||||||||

| Just heard about a new book by Hugh Soar, Mark Stretton and Joseph Gibbs entitled "Secrets of the Longbow", and is being published in July. As these chaps probably know more on the subject than the rest of us put together I am expecting great things and would be very disapointed if there wasn't an arrow typology lurking within it's 240 pages. Looking forward to its publication. | |||||||||||

| Sadly there isn't, but it's a good book. I'm also interested in getting my hands on this typology if anyone has a copy/scan floating around... Cheers, Matt | |||||||||||||
