| Shall I modify my longbow? Hello, In my quest for better accuracy with my bow I have maesured my bow strength at home and it seems about that it's about 46# @ 28. It's 70'' long and made of 3 layers (2 are plastic, middle one is some wood). I am shooting a left - handed bow. Truth is, I've been shooting for a couple of years without any formal coaching (problem is that in Poland there are no "traditional" coaches and sport ones don't want to talk to you if you are not in a club, and they are teaching only sport shooting anyways). I think my posture, anchor point and form are pretty consistent, but need some more work upon (but that's my opinion only ). I'll be posting some pictures soon or you to criticize (when I get the camera). Right now I'm trying to tune my bow as well as I can. Therefore pls bear with me, as I surely will have a lot additional questions: I've had a look at my bow, and in fact it has some kind of shelf. The problems is that I think it's not a very good design. I think that with a rounded arrow shelf the arrow does not leave the bow properly, or am I wrong? Actually I noticed that while shooting, the arrow is propped on my hand and not on the "shelf". Anyhow, I decided to try to modify the round shelf (see picture) do you think it's a good idea?
