new archer - introduction
Hello,

I have recently decided to have a go at longbow archery - I wish I had found this forum sooner as it looks like this is a great place for info/advice

Just thought I would introduce myself to the forum
For my story so far, have a look at my web page:

I have only tried my bow once so far but I did manage to hit the target a few times (although it was only around 20 yards ;-)

Thanks for all the greetings :-)

Just wondering how my AFB will compare to a longbow?
i.e. when I get the hang of this bow, how much of a shock will it be when I get a longbow

Is there anything I should know about looking after this bow - e.g. looking after the string/wood as I forgot to ask this when I bought it

I am in a target archery club where no one else uses a traditional bow so I am pretty much having to learn how to use it myself - good fun though :-)
