Just To Get Started

My father and I are both interested in purchasing longbows in the near future but as we have only shot them once (thanks to the bomen of glen, lecister at the junior euronations last weekend) we do not know what specifications we need. I shoot a recurve and he shoots compound. I am 5 foot 3 with a 23’’ draw length and would like a bow with a poundage between 30 and 40 pounds. Could you please advise me on what specifications would be best. I do not know of any longbow clubs or even shooters in my area so don’t know were to get advise.
