What weight/size of arrow

I'm looking to make my own arrows (I'm a beginner). Ideally for a 40-50 lb longbow.

I was thinking 3-4" fletches, plastic nocks, 100grain Brass piles, and 11/32" shafts.

Does this sound like a good combo - or should I go for lighter/heavier arrows etc?

I think I'd need 30-31" arrows in length for my draw.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers, D

I'd suggest 5/16" shafts, and spine weight of about 45-50 based on the draw length and wieght of bow. Have a look at Making Wooden Arrows from our website
