Links to Longbow sites

I am planning to further update our club (Clifton Hampden Longbow Society) website (www.cloutabout.com) next weekend - in particular our links page.

I would like to make this as comprehensive as possible in terms of any form of longbow information (clubs, organisations, commercial interests, events etc).

If any of you have a site you want included and/or know of a site that would be suitable please let me know - on here, by PM or to webmaster@cloutabout.com and I'll be pleased to include it.

Am happy to include foreign (outside UK) sites as well.

Brgds

Links to Longbow sites

Hi, please feel free to link to our field archery club. We are based in Cheshire. We have a very active longbow contingent. Currently the most popular bow type in use at the club.

Our URL is www.scfa.org.uk

Daniel,

You are already on ours .....

Fort Purbrook Company of Bowmen - http://homepage.ntlworld.com/purbrookbowmen/index.htm - you get two sites for your money on this link ... The target archery club and their associated Purbrook Bowmen Archery Display Team (well worth a visit to the site).

..... have checked link working OK.

If you need anything changed let me know.

Brgds

TimS

PS - thanks for your offered link

Well not much response there then !

The extra link done (South Cheshire Field Archers).

Is there no-one in the traditional archery world out there that wants additional links ?

Next effort is a comprehensive events diary - if you have an event (or events) that include traditional archery please let me know (webmaster@cloutabout.com).

Hi Tim,

I think people have been slow to respond simply because there aren't that many sites that are specific to traditional archery. I'm sure there are load of clubs that have members shooting longbow and flatbow but there seems to be few informational sites that already well documented on the Sagi board.

For what it's worth at Aire Valley Archers the is an increasing number of members shooting Longbow. When we moved indoors last year we set up a mini-league for the Portmouth rounds which was great. It was fun, informal and involved sherry at half time. I think the jolly nature of it may have ruffled a few compound bow members feathers. I suspect we'll do the same this year

Here's our site http://aire-valley-archers.co.uk/

That one is done - anyone else ?

The more links that individual sites provide each other, the better their search engine ratings and the more likley we are to generate new people to the sport (whichever version of archery they choose to take up)
